hrm so let's do some six degrees of separation: i should probably work backwards starting with how it started, eventually leading to matt. let's see if you understand the connection:

so that's how i got to know matt. totally by god's grace, and of course connections through friends. i'm glad i was able to hang backstage at justis' concert cause i met a LOT of cool people that i still mingle with to this day, including matt. and matt used to go to waterloo ccf so that helps a lot. i hear a LOT of good stories about the golden years when most of the jokers [who've now all left. heh. well except for wayne. he's permanently glued to waterloo] had their share of good times. despite the age difference between matt and i, i never felt any less or better than him. i'm always at ease when i'm around matt. he's a fun loving guy...... who really knows how to down the booze! ha. never knew chinamans had such high tolerance. =d and i think he holds one of the coolest names. like, who could forget a name like "matthew mark?" =) but all in all, it's like the more time you spend with matt the more you discover how interesting he is. he has a lot of talent and it makes me proud to know that he's using his gifts to glorify god. *mad props* yesterday was a stressful recording session but i wouldn't trust anyone else to produce or record my tracks. you can always count on matt to do a great job. =)

so thanks matt. though we've only known each other for a short period of time i'm still thankful i met you and that we were able to work on a lot of things in your studio. s'too bad i don't know the 'matt' from 'westcourt' but s'all good cause i can settle for the matt i know today; the talented, peculiarly tall and always-a-goof-on-film matt. i definitely look forward to more recording sessions and will be happy to see you rise one day, making it big with your own major label recording studio. always wishing you the best.

wOnG-gAi-wAi! u'Re my HeRo.....
hEEj. wErd. maD ownage. woOt! if some of u have been keeping up with my blog since day one, this dude should be no surprise to you. i mentioned him before, when i first learned how to post images on my site. here's garway in a nutshell: he's a massively tall asian dude who carries one of the best asian afros on the face of this earth. he spends strenuous hours studying at uT, hopefully to get his 'gifted' butt into med school so he can save the world. he enjoys long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners and mashmellows by the fire. indeed, he is an eligible bachelor. haha. nah, i'm just playin' aroun'....though i'm sure he doesn't mind me mildly revealing that he isn't taken. =d he loves sincere people and although small desk spaces does drive him completely up the wall, if a costco lasagne accompanies him, he's a happy camper since he could live on that stuff. he's proud to say that he can twirl any textbook of any size, but bashfully admits that andy chung turns him on. haha. he's definitely a lovable character. i'm so blessed i met him at church and that we can relate to one another. he's a keener in everything he does, always giving his 100%. i don't ever recall him doing anything half-@rsed and he's such a reliable guy. that's why he's our pneumatos (university) fellowship leader! one thing i love about garway --> his odd, yet catchy lingo. hence all that nonsense i typed at the top. like heej - that's supposed to be "HUGE" as in "awesome." all in all, garway is a MAD HEEJ HERO. *grin*

yo, i owe you tons. you've been so good to me, and i am eternally thankful. this past year has been a great year for me 'cause you've been an excellent edition to my life. despite the distance and not being able to chill as often it s'all still good cause i know i still got a brotha to come back home to. thanks for the laughs and for always being so supportive of everything i do. no matter what happens, i'll never change i how feel about our friendship and thanks dude, for just accepting me as i am. never forget the good times.....

my adorable nephew! i miss him.......


i haven't seen him since his first birthday in september but boy do i look forward to seeing how much he's grown now! it's like every time i visit the family he's changed so much i don't even recognize him. well, he is definitely one of my favourite little babies and i can't wait till his looks and charm come through so proud auntie erica can say "that's my nephew!". and yes, he is mixed. half chinese and polish. what a great mix =)

fyi: ljc = little (<--- i'm guessing) jennifer cisney.
somehow i came across her awesome blog and i absolutely love everything about it! the layout, her discoveries on the web, the little icon 'ljc' that she created. it's all soo great. and this girl is more crafty than martha stewart!! ya gotta check out her projects page. one of my favourite projects that she did was hallowe'en cookies. scroll down on this page, you'll see what i mean. i was sooo impressed with all her artsy plans.....kinda makes me wanna go buck with my art supplies and start creating masterpieces with my junk. i hardly know her but from surfing on her webpage alone, makes me wish i knew her.

so take a look at the blog i've chosen on the spotlite® today, because i'm sure it's totally worth looking through. plus the design is nice. according to her page, she's web designer for "a little film company" (as she likes to put it) in rochester, new york.
on the right: the only pic i could find of her. heh. holding up a worm. and yah, she's half korean, quarter german and irish.

i just had dinner with my whole family a couple hours ago at our usual diner place. the service was great thanks to sue. she made sure we were taken care of all the time. it was like non-stop attention, i tell ya. like no one at that restaurant mattered except us. things couldn't have been smoother. even the fries tasted great! no sogginess! and the white chicken didn't even seem dry. the consistancy of the chicken was unbelievable. i practically didn't even need sauce to add some favour to the chicken. =) but back to sue, she's this great middle aged, greek woman who really knows what she's doing. probably been in the business for quite some time now, cuz my family have been going to that swiss chalet location for over 8 years now.....

oh man, she is sooooo gonna kill me but......ahwell. *grin*
i'm willing to take the chances. *snicker*snicker* ladies and gents, this is meeanda......

bahaha. so sKandalis as some ppl would say.....heh heah. those pictures always have me laughing on the floor. amanda is naturally so quirky. i don't need to pose her in order to get hilarious results on film. those two pictures were taken this year. the first one was in march at camp shalom for winter retreat and the other one was in june for summer church retreat. amanda is freakin hilarious to be around! i donno what it is about her but i sure get a kick outta her every time we chill. but on a more serious note, i totally dig amanda for her devotion and passion for jesus. i love that she loves god so much and how it's so contagious. she's awesome. she's definitely on my top five of people i'd call if ever i needed some to pray with. i admire her strengths and her willingness to serve 24/7. she has done numerous things for christ such as volunteering with various organizations throughout her summers, being a great leader for cell groups and fellowship, and shaking 'em Lp shakers for worship. heh. yo, it ain't easy shaking Lp shakers. it takes talent to do that well! =d anyway, so i thought, after chilling with her today and after her dissing up my beau gorg men on my blog (even my steve! receding hair line? *phsesh* i THINK NOT!) i thought i'd return the favour and post up those pics. haha. but no. i love that gurl. i love every inch of her, even when she frumps up her styles wearing hotpink + paul frankie undies or two different coloured socks under big lofter sandals. haha.

he is: a christian from north york, a shane barnard freak, my friend. how i know him: church (mcbc) what i love about sifi: his musical sense of worship, being able to confront him with anything, and having awesome worship jams with him. traits he has i wish i had: his self-control. i think sifi conserves himself well. but he's not mute to his feelings. if he needs to cry...heh, i'm sure there's no holding back. i envy him: because he can inhale/suction just about anything into that small body of his and still not gain a single pound! we both: love God, worshiping in praise, and most of all, we love kristen kreuk & alexis bledel!

dude! holy moses i can't believe it's almost the end of another year! well, i try to think back to when our friendship started, but i honestly can't remember! it's funny how things turned out the way they did. i would have never have imagined our friendship growing into what we have now. wouldn't ever have thought i'd end up chilling at your house to jam, nor chatting with you into the late hours online, nor asking YOU for advice on relationships [ha! yeah, that still boggles my mind to this day]. it's amazing how god is the foundation of all this. and you know i'm glad i've been given the opportunity to know you better cause frankly i enjoy your company, sharing our ideas, and stating our opinions. in many subtle ways, you've helped me out sifi. *grin* so i thank you. thanks for understanding, for putting up with my occasional 'pagan' ways, for caring and showing such interest in me and most importantly for always keeping your door wide open for me. i'll pray for you while you work hard during next term! i hope you succeed and eventually meet your goals in life. good luck with ubc. i really hope you make it, so i can have an excuse to come visit you and go trigger happy with my minolti. heh.

julia linser was my inspiration for this project. i love this girl so much. she has helped me grow spiritually and though distance has hindered our ability to see each other, our communication has not lacked one bit. julia is from YWAM --> youth with a mission, an organization i was affiliated with in july, for a couple weeks to do missions in nashville. it was the trip of a lifetime. god opened my eyes during the whole experience and i've become a different person since i left the base. julia was a light in my path. she is someone i look up to and i feel so incredibly blessed that our lives came together to create this bond in friendship, to keep each other accountable spiritually and to encourage.

i praise Him everyday for bringing me such a beautiful friend. i will continue to pray for you as you journey your way through china. i can't believe you're going to be there for 2 years! soon enough, you'll be speaking more mandarin that i do and be holding those chopsticks in no time. it was unfotunate that my letter didn't get to you before you flew out of the country but i'll be sure to keep updating you in how god is working in me. i am so proud of you, jules. and i know you will continue to make our Father proud. bless your heart for your kindness, compassion, honesty and most importantly our friendship. my prayers remain with you always.......

tis just the beginning.....this a place where i can acknowledge people and post up certain individuals that i wish to encourage. could be people i admire, people i want to lift up. could be the milk man, the dude in my class who consistantly holds the door for me, my best friend, or even your mama. you just never know...so stay tuned 'cause who knows? maybe one day you'll find yourself on the 'spotlite!' =D cheers.
